Did everything expected of it. Covered all of the major tourists sights. It was an enjoyable easy read. Chock full of good solid facts.
Very informative and interesting well written lots of foot notes and hints . Map could be a little more inclusive of more towns within the departments
it's lightweight and provides some basic info but not much detail and the lack of pictures and not many maps make it hard to relate to the content.
This book is hastily written and doesn't seem to have been properly edited. It's one thing to have typos, it's another to have inconsistent travel information in different parts of the book. For instance, the majority of a suggested one week itinerary is spent in a national park that is revealed in chapter 6 to have been closed to visitors since 2013. The city maps are also basically useless: they don't show the neighborhoods defined in the chapters and have too few streets labeled to use them for directions.
First Frommer's guide I have used - it was very easy to navigate, up to date, and interesting historical facts and background integrated with the sights text. Recommendations for places to stay and eat were spot on.
Very limited general information, at times outdated.
