This is one of those books where every page has something new to learn. I don't think I have ever highlighted or noted down as many phrases as I did in this book. I started this book and completely lost track of time. The next thing I know its already 4.00 am. I was hardly aware of the time or space while reading this book. The ending was abrupt but we can overlook that due to the immense wealth of knowledge the preceding chapters contained.The book presents a guide on how we can a book in thirty minutes and retain the knowledge in our minds. There are brief guides on how we can continuously gather information to nurture knowledge and continuously learn in our lives.I was very impressed by the recommendation of 160 books that everyone should read. Some of the books I had never heard of but will definitely look for and read.In today's world when most people acquire cars, clothes and jewellery as material possessions and want huge TV sets for their homes, no one gives a thought to investing in knowledge or books. Gary Hoover has 57,000 books in his home which take up a large space in his room. I found that very inspiring and noteworthy.If I had to list one person that really inspired me this year or that I really wanted to meet, it would be Gary Hoover without a doubt.

Others have said Gary is a gifted teacher, and he is, but great teachers are great learners. They are curious and passionate and assume everyone else shares these traits. Reading this book is a way to understand and emulate Gary’s special abilities.
In clear and concise terms, this book explains a simple system for absorption of the knowledge within a book easily, gives an annotated bibliography of incredible reference books and provides a tolchest of simple, effective exercises to improve your mind. I will be recommending it to EVERYONE.
Somewhere around the high school years, and the sooner the better.This a real eye opener and fun to read. I can't imagine anyone regretting buying this book as there really seems to be something for everyone to gain from reading it.
A great resource of good books to read. The end was a tad redundant, but overall a good evening read.
I don't know about other people but I tend to listen to a person that has built two wildly successful businesses & has a library of over 50,000 books.
