I ordered this Bible because my previous journaling Bible was too full to work in. I love that the margins are 2.25" - this is an extra 1/4" larger than my ESV single column. There is even more room in the Psalms. The font is slightly larger than my previous Bible as well. The pages are a crisp white color, brighter than the cream pages I'm used to working in. The turquoise cover is so pretty and bright. I'm enjoying the NLT translation, which is what my church uses. I really love this Bible and I won't hesitate to order another one when this one is full!
This is a beautiful Bible, but unfortunately, if you're looking to use it primarily for artistic Bible journaling, it's not the best option. The pages have wide margins, which is great, but the pages are very thin, so that anything you write in it, even with pencil, leaves a heavy indent on the backside of the page and onto the pages before that, too, unless you use something in between. I wouldn't recommend using markers, as the color will certainly bleed through. I will continue to journal in this Bible because that's why I bought it, but just know that you have to put up with the indentations on the pages.
This is one of the best journaling Bible's I've found. Here's why: 1) The paper isn't so thin it's like onion skin. 2) Writing doesn't bleed through 3) the printing on one side of the page is perfectly aligned with the printing on the flip side. It makes each page, clean and easier to read. 4)There is ample room in the journaling column.THE BINDING: Some people have knocked the binding. I was exceptionally pleased. I bought the mahogany brown... a hard-back.
I love my new Bible! I am reading through the Bible, using the daily reading plan in the back. I love being able to write notes in the margins and write out questions. I think I will get a new one each year. Read through the Bible and write notes, then will each of my children, a Bible. I lost my mom tragically, several years ago, and would have loved to have had a Bible of hers, like this, with her thoughts about each scripture. What a treasure!
I have enjoyed this Bible, the easy reading and the room to write notes. However, while reading through Psalms, I noticed that Psalms 92 through107 are missing and the page numbers are continuous. That makes me wonder what else is missing from this print of the Bible.
Just received this bible. And it's so pretty. I love the color. I like to take notes when I read and this was perfect!

I really like this bible! The NLT version has quickly become my new favorite and brought new understanding in many verses. It is deeply moving and fresh compared to say the NKJV. I have been reading this NLT side by side with several other translations and a Strongs and a Vines dictionary and so far I am pleased. I wouldn't use any one translation 100% by itself anyways, but this one is HIGHLY "readable" and I am enjoying it immensely. If this bible had even MORE notespace I would get that one next! 3 inch margins all around each page would be wonderful. This one has 1 lined margin on each page so I am writing as small as I can.Definitely get some Pigma Micron archival ink pens to go with this bible as your regular old roller ball "dye" pens will bleed right through.
